A new report has claimed Mitch Taylor DID apply for Love Island multiple times, after insisting he isn’t a “superfan”.
After being dumped from the villa last month, Kady McDermott appeared on a host of podcasts, where she made some bombshell revelations about her co-stars.
On one podcast, she said: “Mitch studied every series of Love Island. He even said to me he wants to be a memorable character.”
Mitch addressed the remarks during a livestream last week, saying: “You said you need to keep me at arm’s reach… I’m a superfan – I’ve never watched a series in my life. If I did, I’d know who you were when you came in… That were out of order that.”
Kady replied: “There’s nothing wrong with that!” and Mitch fired back: “There’s a lot wrong with that when it’s not true and you just said it.”
Kady explained: “But I got told you applied four series in a row so I just thought you were a fan.”
Mitch claimed that was “also false” and Kady went on to say: “But someone who works from Love Island told me this but I don’t care Mitch, you know I don’t give a s**t, I think you’re great.”
Mitch also addressed Kady’s comments while speaking to On Demand Entertainment earlier this week.
He said: “She’s calling me a superfan but I didn’t watch it ever. I flew out for the winter one and whilst I were out there they were asking me for my top three and I had to ask my sister because I’m too busy working so I don’t have time to watch it.”
“Only one I did watch was the winter one because I were going on and Tommy and Molly’s season.”
However, a source has since told MailOnline: “Mitch worked with a PR agency to help him write the best application and applied last summer.”
“He was then offered a place on the winter series and flew out to South Africa but the producers weren’t able to get him the villa.”
“Instead they offered him a place as an OG Islander this season,” the insider added.
