Max George fights back tears as he fulfils late bandmate Tom Parker’s ‘dying wish’

Max George fought back tears as he fulfilled his late bandmate Tom Parker’s “dying wish”.

The Wanted singer sadly passed away on March 30 last year aged 33, after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

The late 33-year-old is survived by his wife Kelsey, whom he married in 2018, and their two young children – Aurelia and Bodhi.

On Sunday night’s episode of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, Max went head to head with Loose Women’s Linda Robson and Labour MP Jess Phillips.

The Wanted star opted to bag his winnings of £6,900 for his chosen charity, instead of risking it all for the £20k jackpot.

The singer told host Ben Shephard: “I am happy with that. That was the right decision.”

Ben asked:  “It’s going to a really special charity. Can you share who it is going to?”

Max emotionally responded: “It is going to the Brain Tumour Charity.”

“My very, very close friend, Tom, passed away recently from a brain tumour, and they’re at the forefront of brain tumour research.”

Speaking to Ben, the singer said: “And also, Ben, I want to say thank you to you because I asked you a while ago if we could get Tom on the show, and that’s why I’m here today.”

“So thanks to you,” he added. “I’m really, really happy with that.”

Ben replied: “I’m really thrilled that you got to come and play in his memory.”

“I remember what a great guy he was, and he loved the show, so I am chuffed to bits you could be here for him.”

“And £6,900 will make a big difference to the charity.”
