Lucie Donlan has revealed that she rekindled her romance with former Love Island partner Joe Garratt.
Inside the villa, the couple’s romance was cut short when Joe was removed from the show in a savage double dumping.
Speaking to The Sun, the surfer said: “Me and Joe are just friends.”
However, she explained that they tried to make things work since the show finished.
“We tried to see if anything was there but he’s so lovely, we’re just going to be friends.”
Joe previously admitted that they shared a kiss, and told the publication that he feels that there is a pressure for them to get back together.
“We kissed at the ITV summer party after getting close again outside of the villa. I really like her, but she’s doing her own thing right now,” he said.
“I’m looking for a girlfriend, I really want to find love. But she’s not thinking about that right now.”
“It’s awkward because we see each other at events all the time. It’s difficult, I don’t feel like I can talk to her now because everyone is looking at us wondering if we’re getting back together.”
