Faye Winter has responded to rumours she’s dating her Love Island co-star Toby Aromolaran.
The 28-year-old has been single since her shock split from Teddy Soares, who she met on the dating show in 2021, earlier this year.
Meanwhile Toby has been single since late last year, when he split from Chloe Burrows.
Faye and Toby both appeared on Love Island’s spin-off show Aftersun last weekend, and fans were left wondering if there could be a romantic connection between the pair.
However, Faye has since insisted she and Toby are just “amazing friends”, and that a romance “isn’t on the cards” for her right now.
Speaking to The UK Sun about a potential relationship with Toby, Faye laughed and said: “Absolutely not, that would just be weird.”
She explained: “It’s so hard because as soon as guys and girls are friends, it’s like…you’ve got to remember Toby was mine and Teddy’s friend.”
The reality star added: “No romance on the cards, not for a minute. It’s just not a part of my life that I’m looking at at the moment.
Faye previously admitted it was “definitely” her decision to end the relationship with Teddy.
During an interview with new magazine, the 27-year-old said: “I was very open to seeing if there were small changes that could be made, but it didn’t work out that way.”
The Love Island star confessed at the time that she was still “grieving” their relationship, admitting: “It comes in waves. You know, sometimes the sea is like a millpond and then all of a sudden there will be a big wave.”
“There are still some days where I get really emotional, but it’s been easier to try and move on knowing there is full closure now. I’m nowhere near in a position to be thinking about anybody else or even considering dating, but right now I’m still having waves of grief, but not every day, every couple of hours.”
“It’s just one of those things, you’ve got to go through it. It’s hard to have somebody who you were so close to become just a stranger.”
