Chloe Burrows has admitted her split from Toby Aromolaran was “the worst thing” she’s ever been through.
The couple came in second place on Love Island 2021, and moved in together shortly afterwards.
But the reality stars called it quits at the end of last year and now, Chloe is looking for love again on Celebs Go Dating.
In a new interview with OK! Magazine, the 27-year-old revealed she wants her next relationship to be more private.
She explained: “I wouldn’t want someone who is so public and shares a lot of their life. If it doesn’t work out, you have to go through a public break-up, which is literally the worst thing I have been through.”
“I wouldn’t do that again. If I didn’t post anything about the two of us for like three days, I was hounded. I felt pressure to keep everyone updated. If I hadn’t had that pressure it would have been a lot more smooth sailing I reckon.”
Chloe admitted she is “really nervous” to discuss her past romances on the upcoming season of the show – which will premiere on E4 on August 20.
She said: “It will be the first time I have spoken about my relationships. On Love Island I managed to get away without talking about it. The Celebs Go Dating experience is a lot more intense. I might take a lot more away from it.”
“I’ve had situations, roller-coaster rides… not that fun. My previous relationship was really good, so I have that as a standard now.”
It comes after Toby addressed his split from Chloe for the first time in an interview with The UK Sun last month.
He said: “At the end of the day it wasn’t a hard decision – once you’re having serious core problems, really and truly it’s done, isn’t it.”
“It’s one of those ones, because it’s my relationship I don’t want to say what those issues were. I haven’t really said it out loud to anyone really and truly, it’s almost like I’m running from it. I run from it.”
Speaking about whether he and Chloe will ever rekindle their romance, Toby admitted: “I think that books firmly closed. I don’t think I could let myself.”
“I always say to people ‘why do you get back with your exes?’ and it always pulls you back. I’ve thought many times, ‘shall I get back with her?’ But I just couldn’t. I can’t, I can’t, I just can’t do it.”
“It was me who broke up with her,” Toby admitted. “I miss being in a relationship. I miss us privately away from everything.”
