Dr Alex George has bought four cottages in Wales and has offered one of them to a Ukrainian family fleeing the Russian invasion.
The reality star, who rose to fame on Series 4 of Love Island, initially bought the buildings with the intention to renovate them into cute holiday homes.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the 31-year-old wrote: “Today’s the day! I’m so excited to announce that I’ve bought 4 holiday cottages in beautiful Pembrokeshire, in Wales.”
Alex continued: “I initially bought these for my passion for property and renovation, as well as wanting to create relaxing spaces for families to holiday and enjoy the Welsh countryside in!”
“With all of the current devastation in Ukraine, I have decided I would love one of the cottages to be home to a Ukrainian family for as long as they need.”
“My plan is to start the renovations and get the properties into a good state to house a family as soon as possible. If you’d like to follow me along on my renovation journey, go and follow @dralexrenovates.”
In an additional Instagram Story, Alex wrote: “I have been shocked by what is going on in Ukraine and I want to support in any way I can.”
The A&E doctor also linked fans to his YouTube, where he posted a video of his new cottages on Sunday.
In the video, Alex showed off the new spaces and detailed the renovations he intended to make in each one.
Fans took to the comments section of his video to commend Alex on his decision to help others.

The kind gesture comes after Alex’s recent split from his girlfriend Ellie Hecht.
