Love Island host Maya Jama has reacted to a viral video of an audience member giving her a “cheeky look” during Monday’s live final.

The popular presenter opened the show by walking through the villa surrounded by a live audience.

As she walked through the crowd, a man could be seen looking her up and down, showing his appreciation for the 28-year-old.

A Twitter user later shared a video of the moment online, which has since gone viral.

They captioned the post: “A cheeky look on national TV 😭😭😭 #LoveIsland.”

Catching up on the madness of the final, which saw Sammy Root and Jess Harding crowned the winners of Love Island, Maya came across the tweet on Wednesday.

The host clearly found it hilarious as she reposted the video on Twitter alongside a series of laughing emojis.

It comes after ITV defended Maya over a blunder she made during the live final.

The Love Island host told the audience they were about to see Whitney and Lochan’s best bits, but instead a video of Jess and Sammy played.

Later, while interviewing Jess and Sammy, the presenter told the couple they were about to see their best bits, despite the clip already having aired.

ITV have since defended Maya, tweeting: “Guys live television is really difficult please be nice,” and, “Maya is the Queen, smashed it.”

Love Island fans flocked to reply to the broadcaster’s tweet in support of Maya.

One Twitter user penned: Nah it’s honestly just so funny we love Maya 🤣💙.”

A second wrote: “We love Maya.”

Meanwhile, a third tweeted: “Bless her, thought she handled it well. Love Maya.”
