Louis Walsh has claimed that Simon Cowell has “ruined” his chances at winning X Factor back in 2008.
During the show, the 71-year-old was mentoring boyband JLS, while Cheryl coached Alexandra Burke, who went on to win the show.
In the final, Alexandra was joined on stage by Beyoncé, with the pair singing a powerful rendition of Listen from the 2006 film, Dreamgirls.
On Tuesday night’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother, Louis has now alleged that Simon booked Beyoncé for Cheryl, which ruined Louis’ chance of winning the show with JLS.
He told housemates Zeze and David: “We were in the final, JLs, alongside Alexandra Burke, and we got West Life.”
He continued: “Simon loved Cheryl and what did he do, book her Beyoncé. That’s what he’s like. That’s why he’s liked.”
Louis added: “I wanted to beat her. She’s not perfect, but she’s nice, I like her. She doesn’t know that, but I like her.”
During his stint on the reality TV show, Louis has made remarks about previous talent of his.
The Irish man previously labelled Ronan Keating “a p****” on the show.
Since his remarks, an alleged recording from the height of the pair’s feud in 2006, has resurfaced showing an alleged Ronan speaking to biographer Rob McGibbon about how Louis had “really hurt” him.
Louis has also made comments towards duo Jedward, who he managed from 2009 to 2013.
During last Tuesday’s episode of the reality TV show, Louis revealed that the “novelty” act were “vile”, but made him “five million quid.”
Following his remarks airing, the musicians, who real names are John and Edward Grimes, took to X to slam their former manager in a series of posts.
In one post, the twins branded Louis an alleged “evil manipulator”, and claimed he “b****d and talked about us” to their best friend Tara Reid.
In another tweet, the pop duo alleged: “Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died.”
