Louis Tomlinson has vowed to help X Factor singer Anthony Russell with his “addiction” problem.
The former One Direction singer helped Anthony get clean in 2017 by paying for him to go to rehab – but the Liverpool native was recently kicked off the X Factor tour after a suspicious substance was allegedly found in his hotel room.
Speaking to The Sun, Louis said, “I’m still in contact with him, I’ll still guide him and help him.”
“However long I’ve known Anthony I’ve learnt quite a bit about addiction and it’s a horrible thing.”
“It’s very, very, very tough and I saw plenty of times of a real determination from him to get clean. Like so many people, it’s a struggle, it’s a day in day out struggle.”
“Losing the judgement is hard at first, addiction is not simple,” he added.
“I’ve tried to educate myself about it since knowing Anthony. It’s difficult though.”
