Kelsey Parker admits she still talks about late husband Tom to ‘keep his memory alive’

Kelsey Parker has revealed she talks about her late husband Tom Parker with her kids every day.

The Wanted singer sadly passed away at the age of 33 in March 2022, following an 18-month battle with stage four glioblastoma brain cancer.

Tom’s wife is now keeping his memory alive by talking about him every day to their two children – Aurelia, four, and Bodhi, three.

Kelsey will be taking part in ‘Wear a Hat Day’ on March 28 to help raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

She opened up about her husband’s passing ahead of the campaign, and told the MailOnline: “We still talk about Tom every day, I wrote a book so the kids can read about him.”

“For my kids, they will be able to see what I went through and see more about our relationship.”

The mother-of-two continued: “I do find music quite painful to listen to, having two young kids and being a solo parent we talk about Tom all the time to keep his memory alive.”

Kelsey admitted about Tom’s passing: “I was 35 weeks pregnant with Bodhi when Tom was diagnosed. It ripped our whole family apart, just surviving on my own and being the mum and the dad is so tough.”

This comes after she posted a touching tribute to her late husband, ahead of the second anniversary of his tragic passing.

She wrote: “Today is the first day of March and it brings with it the painful reminder that this is the month I lost Tom. I still can’t quite believe it is almost two years since he passed. I know he is watching over me and the kids every day, but his physical absence from our lives is so huge.”

“I miss his banter and his laugh so much. I’d do anything to have one more day with him. I think about him every single day, and I think March will always be a difficult month.”

She continued: “March is also Brain Tumour Awareness month and tonight at 7.30pm I will be lighting a candle in Tom’s memory and also for all the other families affected by this devastating disease.”

“Please join me and @braintumourrsch in raising awareness and funding so brain tumours can stop taking away our husbands, wives, parents, siblings, grandparents and our children. We will beat this.”

She signed off the tribute to Tom and said: “Sending love and light to anyone experiencing grief ✨ Kels xx”
