Katie Price hits back at critics after getting engaged for the seventh time

Katie Price has hit back at critics, after getting engaged for the seventh time.

The former glamour model announced her engagement to Carl Woods last week, following a whirlwind ten-month romance.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the mum-of-five said: “People can say what they want. Carl has a past too. He’s been engaged before but nobody says anything.”

“My head’s in the right place. It’s not rushed, it’s been done properly. Not only am I head over heels in love, my kids approve and my family approve.”

“And the best thing about Carl is he doesn’t need me for anything and I don’t need him for anything. It’s refreshing to be with a man that if I decided I never wanted to work again, he’d look after me. I just love him.”

“My head is just in a different place. Carl has met me as the person I was 10 years ago. I feel fresh. Everything is different. The past is the past – exes are exes, Carl is my future.”

“My family approve of Carl and the kids love him. My kids said they didn’t want to meet someone else unless it was real, The One – period. And Carl is it,” she insisted.

The couple confirmed they were planning on tying the knot this year, and Katie revealed she would be changing her surname to ‘Woods’.

“I have never changed my surname for anyone – but I’m going to change it legally and be known as Katie Woods. I’m proud of it. It’s going to be a new me and a new era,” she said.

Katie shares two children with her first husband Peter Andre – son Junior, 14, and daughter Princess, 13.

The TV personality also shares seven-year-old Jett and six-year-old Bunny with her third husband Kieran Hayler, and she’s mum to 18-year-old Harvey, who she had with her ex Dwight Yorke.

Katie was married to Alex Reid from 2010 until 2012.

She was also engaged to Gladiator star Warren Furman in 1997, Leandro Penna in 2012 and Kris Boyson in 2019.
