Katie Hopkins denies she broke quarantine rules in Australia after being axed from Big Brother

Katie Hopkins has denied she broke hotel quarantine rules in Sydney, after being axed from the celebrity version of Big Brother.

The controversial TV star jetted to Australia this week to appear on the show, and was placed into two weeks of mandatory hotel quarantine.

But Katie has since been pulled from the line up, after she made comments about disobeying quarantine rules during an Instagram Live – which caused uproar online.

The Seven Network, which airs Big Brother in Australia, said in a statement: “Seven Network and Endemol Shine Australia confirm that Katie Hopkins is not part of Big Brother VIP.”

“Seven and Endemol Shine strongly condemn her irresponsible and reckless comments in hotel quarantine.”

The 46-year-old has since shared a video of her Instagram Live on IGTV, and denied she broke quarantine rules.

She captioned the post: “WARNING: EXTREME HUMOUR. I have never broken quarantine.”
