Sophie Kasaei has reportedly been axed as a full-time cast member on Geordie Shore.
The reality star is one of the only original cast members from the very first series, but according to The Sun, the show’s bosses decided to ‘shake up’ the line-up before filming starts for the new series next month.
A source told The Sun: “It’s one of the biggest shake-ups they’d had in a long time and this time Sophie’s head was on the block.”
“She has been told she’s taking a supporting role in the next series and will only be appearing on screen at certain points throughout the series.”
“When they go into lock-down in the house at the start of January, Sophie won’t be living with them,” they added.
This is not the first time Sophie has stepped back from a full-time role on Geordie Shore, as she was forced to leave the show back in 2013 after she allegedly used a racial slur during filming – a charge she has since denied.
But after she was axed, MTV bosses invited her back for a reunion special and she secured her place on the show once again.
However, it looks like Sophie’s journey on Geordie Shore will soon come to an end.
