Strictly Come Dancing bosses have reportedly signed up their first ever Love Island contestant.

According to multiple reports, Zara McDermott is set to compete for the coveted glitterball trophy later this year.

The 26-year-old rocketed to fame after appearing on the 2018 series of the hit dating show.

It has been reported that bosses hope Zara will “attract more younger people to watch the show,” while also “furthering her career” with the BBC.

A source told MailOnline: “Zara is the perfect signing for Strictly, not only is she beautiful and glamorous but she is hardworking and will take being on the show very seriously.”
