Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter hit out at the Inside Soap Awards after she wasn’t invited to the event.
The actress plays Chas Dingle in the long-running soap and has been part of the show since 2002.
Despite being a prominent soap actress for over sixteen years, Lucy was not invited to the Inside Soap Awards last night and decided to voice her frustration on Twitter, while her co-stars were at the event.
So I’m in a #soap … bit I’m not at the #insdesoapawards …. don’t know why ,?? But how come people who aren’t in a soap … or left a while ago get to go and party whilst I sit infront of my tv eating my dinner and reading all about it ????♀️????♀️????♀️

“So I’m in a #soap … bit I’m not at the #insdesoapawards [sic]…. don’t know why ,??” she tweeted.
“But how come people who aren’t in a soap … or left a while ago get to go and party whilst I sit infront [sic] of my tv eating my dinner and reading all about it,” the 41-year-old continued.
The actress received support from her fans though, as many of them also shared their confusion over why she wasn’t invited to the award ceremony.
“You weren’t invited? That’s crazy! Especially with the huge storyline Chas has going on right now. I don’t understand it at all,” one fan tweeted.

Lucy did, however, retract her comment as she returned to Twitter this morning to say: “honestly, it’s always the same with awards , there’s only a few invites and it’s usually the nominated and the people not working who get to go …. why does everything have to be taken so seriously”.
