Duffy has returned to Instagram after four years following her horrific kidnapping and rape ordeal.
The Welsh singer-songwriter left the spotlight after suffering a traumatising incident which she first revealed in February 2020.
The 39-year-old previously opened up about being raped, drugged and held captive “over a period of days” following her huge success and becoming a Grammy Award-winning artist in 2008.
Duffy whose real name is Aimee Anne Duffy shared a clip featuring different animated art styles set to poignant music.
A man’s voice narrated the video and quoted Bianca Sparacino’s healing novel The Strength In Our Scars.
The man read: “You’re going to realize it one day – that happiness was never about your job or your degree or being in a relationship.”
