Fans were shocked when the show favourite Aston Merrygold lost to The Saturdays Mollie King on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night.
The JLS star and his dance partner Janette Manrara appeared on This Morning to discuss their sudden exit from the dancing competition.
Dance partner Janette insisted his early exit was unfair, and judge Craig Revel-Horwood’s score was “really harsh”.
When the singer was asked what happened, he replied, “I feel gutted. That’s the perfect word for it. I couldn’t put my stamp on the dance.”
Janette defended Aston stating, “It was really harsh, it didn’t deserve a four. I do respect his opinion, he is a judge – I just really disagree with it.”
The judge defended the fact he kept Mollie and AJ in the competition after he received major backlash over the decision on Twitter.
Dear all the judges vote on the dance off alone NOT past performances or potential performances in the future! If you wanna have ur say VOTE
