The Love Island stars broke up just weeks after winning the show last summer

Amber Gill has responded to claims she ‘shaded’ Greg O’Shea on Twitter.

Earlier this week, the 22-year-old raised eyebrows by tweeting: “can you believe its been one whole year since I won Love Island ????.”

Many took Amber’s tweet as an insult towards Greg, as they won the series as a couple last summer – and split the $50k prize fund.

Greg even seemed to take offence, as he sarcastically commented, “Congrats,” underneath her post.

Naturally, the former couple’s Twitter exchange attracted a lot of attention online.

But Amber has since insisted that she wasn’t throwing shade at anyone.

She tweeted: “when people are unhappy within themselves they interpret everything as bitter and shade throwing.”

“Let them misinterpret they cannot comprehend someone being unproblematic and unbothered,” she continued. “We don’t need any more negativity in 2020 let them be on their bulls**t.”

When a follower responded to Amber’s tweet to point out that she is “well able to throw shade”, she replied: “MISINTERPREATATION #1 Shade throwing is my speciality.” [sic]

“Being able to differentiate shade throwing from a harmless comment is what I’m talking about not everything is shade,” she added.

The news comes after Greg recently told Goss.ie that there’s no hard feelings between him and Amber – despite their nasty split.

Speaking on Goss Chats, he said: “Me and Amber have spoken privately, I don’t think anyone really knows this.”

“We’ve spoken privately since and we’re both like yeah, no hard feelings, we probably could have dealt with the situation better.”

“We get on and there’s no hard feelings, that’s all that matters really,” he added.
