Rachel Stevens has told how she is finding it much tougher than she expected to kick people off the Voice of Ireland.
The S Club 7 singer, 36, is forced to make extremely harsh decisions after signing up for the RTE show.
But Rachel found it hard during the pre-recorded Battles scenes to choose between her own contestants – with worse to come.
She said: “Choosing between my own acts during the Battles was very tough but when you get to that part of the show you can see which contestants will do well.

“Because you get to see them in a bigger arena with an audience and you see which ones step up a bit more.
“It is so difficult at that point having to pick between the two, because they all work so hard and they form relationships with each other — it’s really difficult because it’s their dream so it’s always going to be a really hard part of the show.
“It’s going to be harder when we get to the live shows but in a way I think it’s a good test for them because this is the business they want to be in and you do get so many knock-backs and you are putting yourself out there to be judged.”
Meanwhile, Rachel revealed that despite being a newbee, she’s been welcomed with open arms to the Voice.

She said: “Kian I’ve known for years because S Club and Westlife started together so we did the rounds together on the set of morning shows.
“It’s such a great team. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms. Being with Una is lovely as she’s another newbie. We’re in it together.”
She added: “I love the show. I was delighted when they asked me to do it. It’s brilliant as I’m usually sitting at home on the couch being a judge anyway, so I’m happy to be on this side of it.”
