Mullingar’s got talent! Niall Horan’s pal impresses at X Factor audition

Mullingar has already blessed us with Niall Horan and Bressie and it seems there is no end to the Westmeath town’s talent.

Mark Irwin, a close pal of One Direction star Niall, has decided to follow in his friend’s footsteps and audition for The X Factor and he completely won over the judges.

“Niall gave him lots of good advice and wished him luck. It stood him in good stead as he really impressed,” a source told the Irish Sun on Sunday.

Mark was one of the standout performers at the Irish auditions in Croke Park as the ITV show returned to Dublin for the first time since Niall’s 2010 audition.

Speaking about returning to Dublin, Louis told RTÉ TEN, “We’re not just looking for great singers… We want personalities, and people with ambition and work ethic and all of that.

“I expect to get some really good people here.

“And I hope we get somebody really good for the live shows. I’m sure we will. Definitely. And it is to do with personality, and attitude and work ethic. It’s all those things.”

Mark is currently managed by Infinity Artists Management and according to their website, he moved to London to study at The London School of Musical Theatre where he was a recipient of the Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholarship and graduated with a Diploma in Musical Theatre.

Since graduating he has performed in The Caucasian Chalk Circle at the St. Leonard’s, Shoreditch Church and The Commitments at The Palace Theatre, London.
