Mrs Brown's Boys named most watched TV show on Christmas Day AGAIN

Mrs Brown’s Boys has proved to be a Christmas hit once again this year.

The BBC series – created by Irish comedian Brendan O’Carroll won in the ratings war this festive season, making it the most watched Christmas special on Christmas Day.

After the Queen’s speech –which aired in the UK on both BBC and ITV – Mrs Brown’s Boys was the most popular programme for the second year running.

7.6 million people tuned in on Christmas Day to catch up with Agnes Brown. But there was a slight dip from last year – when 9.4 million viewers watched the special.

Meanwhile  EastEnders was the most popular soap watched, making it the third most popular show with 7.55 million people watching Danny Dyer’s character have the worst Christmas ever.

Coronation Street pulled in 6.6 million while 5.7 million tuned in for Emmerdale.
