Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler has hinted at who is going to be killed off in the upcoming season.
The popular sitcom was set to end after season 10, but is now expected to continue on for a short eleventh season, following the death of a major character.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding which character is set to be killed off and many fans have even suspected that Jay’s beloved dog, Stella, could be the victim.
Jesse, who plays Mitchell, has now revealed that Stella is not going to be killed off, but instead it will be a human.
“It’s definitely a person. Not the dog. I’ve been hearing rumours about the dog, it’s not the dog,” he told E! News.
“It’s no animal. It’s a human being. I’ve just squashed like half the rumours.”

It looks like fans might not have to wait too long to find out what character will be killed off though, as it seems like the big reveal could take place on Wednesday’s episode.
The official Instagram account for the show released two posts which have hinted that a character’s death could take place on their Halloween episode.
One post was of video of Claire, Mitchell and Phil all looking shocked, along with the caption: “Big news is coming to #ModernFamily this Wednesday at 9|8c on ABC. Warning: this is not a trick.”
“It’s not just the costumes that will leave you shocked,” another said, alongside a photo of Cam and Phil dressed up for Halloween.
