Hilary Duff has shared a snap of herself in character on the first day of filming the Lizzie McGuire sequel.
The picture shows the actress in New York’s Central Park as the first scenes of the upcoming show began filming.
The series will follow Lizzie as she prepares to turn 30 while also navigating her millennial lifestyle in New York City.
Taking to Instagram, she shared the snap and wrote: “Happy first LIZZIE day!!!!! NYC… cue the rain.”
The 32-year-old actress previously shared a snap of herself with her co-stars Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine, and Jake Thomas as they read the first script for the show.
Along with the original showrunner, Terri Minksy, the stars will return to the show reprise their roles as Lizzie’s parents and brother, Matt.
It is not yet confirmed if Lalaine or Adam Lamberg will return to play their roles as Lizzie’s best friends, Miranda and Gordo.
A sequel for the show was previously on the cards, but due to contract disagreements with Hilary Duff’s management, it was scrapped.
The series was set to follow Lizzie, and her two best friends as they attended High School.
