First Look: Bridgerton season 3 part 2 lands on Netflix

Bridgerton season 3 part 2 has finally landed on Netflix after a month of waiting.

Part 1 of the hit show dropped last month and saw Irish star Nicola Coughlan take centre stage alongside Luke Newton, as we followed Penelope Featherington’s quest to find a husband with the help of the third Bridgerton brother Colin.

The latest season saw the show return to follow the Bridgerton family for the first time in over two years.

The third season is based on the fourth book from the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn, Romancing Mister Bridgerton.

We saw Penelope determined to get out of the marriage market as she was set to find a husband.

She caught the attention of Lord Debling who showed interest in our leading lady – however, this leads to Colin finally releasing he may care more about his close friend than he thought.

The first part left us with a cliffhanger with Colin finally asking Penelope to marry him as they go to tell his family.

The last four episodes will see the aftermath of the couple’s engagement as Elosie threatens to reveal Penelope’s true identity as Lady Whistledown.

We will also get to see more of our season 2 couple, Kate and Anthony Bridgerton and it appears as though they may be expecting a new arrival.

The synopsis of the first four episodes tells us: “Penelope has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin after hearing his disparaging words about her last season.”

“She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly.”

“Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger.”

“But he’s disheartened to realize that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder.”

“Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season.”

“But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.”

“Complicating matters for Penelope is her rift with Eloise, who has found a new friend in a very unlikely place, while Penelope’s growing presence in the Ton makes it all the more difficult to keep her Lady Whistledown alter ego a secret.”
