Famous Love Island exes ‘set to reunite’ in spin-off series

Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson look set to reunite, as they have both reportedly signed up for Love Island Games.

The former couple met on the 2018 series of the hit dating show, and moved in together shortly after the show ended.

The pair dramatically split in February 2019, with Megan later accusing Wes of “sexting” another reality star while they were together.

Over the weekend, The UK Sun reported that Megan was a “done deal” for the upcoming Love Island Games – which is set to premiere on Peacock on November 1.

Love Island podcaster Murad Merali has since revealed that he’s heard from “sources” that Wes is also heading onto the show, so fans may be in for some explosive scenes.

Love Island Games will bring together Islanders from the UK, USA and Australia versions of the hit dating show for a second shot of love.

In Love Island’s cheeky new iteration, romance will meet reality as Islanders are faced with both team and couples’ challenges, all while navigating dating, eliminations, recoupling and dramatic new arrivals.

Maya Jama will host the series and while the official line-up has not yet been confirmed, a host of former Islanders have already been linked to the series.

Megan and Wes announced their split in a statement shared to Instagram in February 2019.

Megan wrote: “It is with hearts full of sadness that we decided to separate.”

“We have been working hard for well under a year, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”

“We are, however, and always will be a family and in many ways, we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost to one incredibly wonderful hamster and we ask for his and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
