Caroline Morahan gutted after she missed out on dream role – as a nymphomaniac

Caroline Morahan has told how she devastated to lose out on a role – as a “nymphomaniac”.

The former RTE star said the part on Vikings would have been “perfect” for her as she is an “absolute weapon”.

“I got very close to a delicious role on Vikings last year and that would have been great, as it would have meant several months in Ireland,” she said.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, this was written for me.’ She was an absolute weapon, a nymphomaniac. I was like, ‘perfect’. It would be such fun to play.”

And Caroline – who we told last month was turned down for a Love/Hate role – admitted the rejection is tough to deal with.

“I would love to work on a quality Irish drama like either of those, and there are so many brilliant films coming out of Ireland,” she explained.

“Life is very short. If you’ve got a passion and you’re not using your passion or expressing it in some way, then you are wasting your time.”
