Gerry Ryan. Soundtrack to my college days. What a voice, what a character. Incredible radio guaranteed. He made you laugh, made you cry, made you remember that we’re all human. As a listener there was something reassuring about Gerry Ryan. Can’t believe he’s gone 8 years. RIP. https://t.co/TCGRm9L1ki

Gerry was found dead at his apartment at Upper Leeson Street in Dublin on April 30th, 2010.
The inquest into Gerry’s death heard that traces of cocaine found in his system were the likely trigger for a cardiac arrhythmia, that resulted in his death.
Gerry married Morah Brennan in 1988, and they had five children together; Lottie, Rex, Bonnie, Elliott and Babette.
Gerry and Morah split in March 2008.
