Toy Show star Adam King nominated for Lord Mayor of Dublin Youth Award

Adam King has been nominated for a Lord Mayor of Dublin Youth Award.

The six-year-old became a national hero following his appearance on The Late Late Toy Show last year, melting the nations hearts when he offered host Ryan Tubridy his handmade ‘Hug For U’ heart.

The Cork native, who suffers from Brittle Bones, has since sold thousands of ‘Hug For U’ cards to raise money for charities close to his heart.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Youth Award recognises children aged between 5 and 18 for their extraordinary work and resilience.

Adam’s dad shared the exciting news of his nomination via Instagram, writing: “We are DELIGHTED- Adam has been nominated for a @lordmayorofdublin Youth Award!”

“The award recognises children who impacted their homes, schools and communities this year. Thank you so much! Watch the awards from 10-10:45 today, link in story 💛😊💖”
