The funeral of Ronan Keating’s brother takes place in Co. Mayo

The funeral of Ronan Keating’s older brother Ciaran is taking place in Co. Mayo this afternoon.

Ciaran, who was in his 50s, was killed in a two-vehicle car crash on the N5 at Ballymiles on Saturday afternoon.

He was travelling to watch his son Ruari play for Cork City FC when the tragic accident took place.

His younger brother Ronan was among the pallbearers who carried the coffin to St Patrick’s Church in Louisburgh for a funeral mass.

The Boyzone star is expected to sing towards the end of the ceremony.

Members of Cork City FC and representatives of the Marie Keating Foundation cancer charity are among the mourners.

Ciaran’s wife Ann Marie, who is a secondary school teacher, was treated for non-life threatening injuries in Mayo University Hospital.

The male driver of the second car, along with his passenger, were also treated for injuries.
