Terrie McEvoy hits back after receiving more ‘disgusting’ messages about her pregnancy weight

Terrie McEvoy has hit back after receiving more “disgusting” messages about her pregnancy weight on social media.

The Irish influencer is expecting her first child, a baby girl, with her husband David Fitzpatrick.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the mum-to-be posted a screenshot of a nasty comment she received underneath one of her photos.

The comment read: “Anorexia during pregnancy is something I need to research but this is just not ok? The poor child is starving and will be so deficient of nutrients. God love them!! And then the vegan fad diet from birth. Poor child!”

Responding to their comment, Terrie wrote: “Anorexia and anorexia nervosa are both very serious and sensitive medical conditions that I absolutely do not have.”

“My healthy baby is thriving and weighing/measuring exactly as she should. I eat a very healthy balanced diet and I am also not Vegan. I don’t restrict my diet at all.”

The 31-year-old then encouraged the Instagram user to “seek help” for their behaviour.

“Commenting such awful things and trying to troll a very happy and healthy pregnant woman is very very worrying! Hope you feel better/happier soon. All the best!”

In another post, Terrie shared a screenshot of more horrible messages she received via DM.

She captioned the post: “I absolutely hate rising to messages like this (I receive quite a lot that I never share publicly). But I want to highlight that you just never ever know what someone is going through and writing poisonous words like this has such potential to do so much harm.”

“I am grateful to be completely unbothered by words strangers write about me or send to me.”

“I am very happy in my life and have an incredible support system but this could be a completely situation [sic]. Pregnancy is an incredibly vulnerable time and I could have been in a very different head space reading those words…..”

Terrie then issued a warning for those who troll people online by writing: “Social media and the internet in general has come along so much in the past two years with regards to trolling/online bullying. Everything can be traced back to you.”

“You may not think it… but trust me… it can and I have been watching it happen so much lately and it is an awful situation for both parties when it all comes to a head.”

“Life is far too short to be feeding or breeding negativity like this,” she added.

“It’s 2021 it really is time to grow up and put this kind of behaviour behind us. Let’s just feckin be kinder to each other. “
