Scott van-der-Sluis has revealed he’s “spent a lot of time” with Maura Higgins.
The former Shelbourne F.C. goalkeeper first appeared on Love Island UK earlier this summer, and enjoyed brief romances with Catherine Agbaje and Abi Moores.
Shortly after being dumped from the Majorcan villa, Scott jetted to Fiji to appear as a bombshell on Love Island USA.
During his one-week stint in the Love Island USA villa, Scott struck up a romance with Johnnie Olivia.
However, it appears the couple have decided not to pursue their romance, as the Welshman was recently confirmed as part of the 25-strong line-up for Love Island Games.
Meanwhile, Maura, who shot to fame on the 2019 series of Love Island, has also been confirmed as the show’s social host on the back of her success as social host for the 2023 series of Love Island USA.
During his appearance on the Saving Grace podcast, host Grace Keeling asked Scott: “If you could couple up with any Islander from any series, who would it be?”
When prompted as to whether it would be Olivia Attwood, Scott admitted it wouldn’t be because she’s married and he never watched her season of Love Island.
When asked whether it would be Maura, the 22-year-old said: “Maura’d be decent. I’ve spent a lot of time with Maura as well cause she does the [interviews] after you get dumped.”
“Maura’s a good looking girl,” he continued, prompting Grace to compliment the Longford native’s Irish accent.
The former Shelbourne F.C. footballer said: “I’m used to the accent cause I was living in Ireland for a year.”

Maura is currently in a relationship with Bobby Holland Hanton.
The reality star was first linked to the actor, who is a stunt double for Hollywood heartthrob Chris Hemsworth, in May.
Weeks later, the pair were papped kissing and cuddling on a trip to Ibiza.
Bobby, who has over 264k followers on Instagram, is based in London.
The 39-year-old is a divorcee, and was previously married to beautician Rachel Hunter, and is stepdad to her 10-year-old daughter.
It’s understood the pair divorced last year, and his ex approves of his romance with Maura.
A source previously told MailOnline: “Rachel is a supportive ex-wife and she approves of Bobby’s romance with Maura.
Maura has not gone public with a relationship since her split from Giovanni in October 2021.
Prior to her relationship with Giovanni, the reality star dated her Love Island co-stars Chris Taylor and Curtis Pritchard.
Maura was rumoured to be dating Milton Keynes Dons player Connor Wickham last May, after she jetted to Paris with a mystery man.
She was also linked to Joey Essex late last year, after they were papped locking lips after the Pride of Britain Awards last October.
In an exclusive interview with Goss.ie earlier this year, Maura revealed why she is keeping her relationship with Bobby out of the public eye.
She told us: “I don’t really know if it was a conscious decision and don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I would keep a relationship away from the public.”
“I just feel like I’d rather wait and not jump to it too soon, until I’m really sure. Because people get so invested.”
“When it’s early days, you just want it to be you and him. And have your little bubble and be together, and get to know each other without having the public’s opinion on it so early days.”
