The Rubberbandits say they will represent Ireland at Eurovision – but on ONE condition

The Rubberbandits recently said that they will represent Ireland at the Eurovision – but only on one condition.

For them to enter the competition, they have to be allowed to sing a song called Chez Les Ye-Ye and dance exactly like the people do in the music video.

The comedy duo said last night that people have been asking them to do the competition for the last ten years.

They attached the music video for the song on Twitter, which is sung by Serge Gainsbourg.

Ireland’s entry into this year’s Eurovision Brendan Murray failed to secure a place in this year’s final with his song Dying To Try.

Although Ireland has been notoriously unlucky in the Eurovision since last winning in 1996, we still hold the title of most successful country to compete in the contest so far.

With Johnny Logan winning the song contest twice, once in 1980 and another time in 1987.

The singer also composed the winning song in 1992, which was performed by Linda Martin.
