Rosanna Davison admits she feels like she ‘can’t get anything right’ sometimes – as she opens up about motherhood

Rosanna Davison has opened up about life as a first-time mother, and admitted that some days she feels like she “can’t get anything right”.

The former Miss World and her husband Wes welcomed their first child, Sophia, last November via surrogate.

Taking to Instagram, the mother-of-one reflected on the past eight months with her baby girl.

Rosanna started her post by sharing the quote: “While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.”

Rosanna continued: “Sophia is almost 8 months old and I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how she’s changed our lives in the best possible way and brought us more happiness and meaning than we ever imagined, but also how much we’ve learnt from her.”

“Some days I feel like super-mum, and others (like yesterday) I just feel like I can’t get anything right and nothing I do makes her happy.”

“While she loves her routine, she’s also taught me the importance of letting go, living in the moment, the power of simplicity and trying not to control everything in life… just relax and go with the flow,” she wrote.

“The seemingly small things bring us so much joy now, like watching the huge grin across her face when she looks at the dogs!”

“To all the parents out there, keep believing in yourselves… you’re doing an amazing job,” she concluded.

Rosanna previously opened up about her decision to opt for surrogacy, after the model suffered multiple miscarriages.

“Following medical advice, gestational surrogacy abroad became our only viable option for a biological child & we’re so thankful for the wonders of modern medicine & reproductive science,” she said.

“As our families & close friends know, this has been a long & very tough journey for us, sadly with multiple miscarriages along the way.”

The 36-year-old admitted that she felt like she must be doing something wrong, before she was diagnosed with an immune system disorder – which explained why she had suffered miscarriages in the past.

“We’ve dreamed of being parents for many years & I would have loved to carry my own baby, but for reasons unknown (most likely embryo rejection due to an overactive immune system) & although tests show excellent fertility, I’ve been unable to sustain any of my pregnancies,” she wrote in a previous Instagram post.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the team of doctors, embryologists, nurses, pregnancy coordinators, my GP & everyone involved in giving us the greatest gift of all by making our family dream come true, and of course our amazing surrogate for keeping our little daughter healthy and safe.”

On the latest episode of Goss Chats, Ali Ryan chats to Ronan Keating about his star-studded upcoming music special, and working with Robbie Williams on a special new song dedicated to Stephen Gately.

#GossChats is sponsored by top aesthetic clinic Haus of JeJuve, which is now back open for bookings.
