Mrs Brown’s Boys aired their first ever LIVE episode last night – and it went down a treat.
The hugely popular show came back with a bang, with the man behind the series Brendan O’Carroll constantly dropping the F-bomb as his character Mrs Brown stole the show as usual.
While the figures for RTE’s ratings have yet to be released, the episode was watched by over 6 million people on the BBC.
But it wasn’t all laughs – there was a very moving speech at the end of the episode.
Moving: Mrs Brown gave a speech | VIPIRELAND.COM
Mrs Brown spoke to the audience about how the modern world has become more and more “disposable” but urged people to continue to support comedy and lose themselves in TV.
“Do you know the older I get, the more I see this world is becoming disposable. Disposable nappies, disposable cell phones, disposable governments — even disposable banks,” Mrs Brown said.
” It doesn’t seem like there’s anything you can depend on anymore. Well, let me tell you this. If you ever feel lonely or a bit down, turn on the television and flick to comedy.
“Have yourself a good laugh. From Dad’s Army to Fawlty Towers to Only Fools and Horses. We’ll be there. You can depend on that.”
Taking to Twitter fans of the show shared their delight with the live episode.
