Peaches Geldof said she had been told she was 'going to end up like her mother'

Just weeks before her tragic death Peaches Geldof revealed how she was told she was “going to end up like her mother”.

The 25-year-old opened up about her fears of following in her mothers footsteps, who died from a heroine overdose.

“Your life, they keep telling you, is pre-ordained: ‘I’m going to die like my mother, she’s going to end up like her mother’,” she said.

She also told The Spectator magazine that there was an “overnight transformation” when she became a mother to sons Astala and Phaedra.

Adding that she experienced “gushing adulation.”

Peaches was found unconscious in the home she shared with her husband Thomas Cohen on April 7.

An initial post-mortem last month revealed heroin was “likely” to have been involved in her death.
