Paul O’Connell is set to enjoy retired life as his commercial firm has brought in almost €1.3 million.
The rugby hero, who was forced to retire from the sport back in February due to a severe hamstring injury sustained during the World Cup, has made a huge profit through his commercial company – and can now enjoy his riches in retirement.
According to The Irish Independent, the 36-year-old has generated almost €1.3 million in cash through his company Nellcon.

During the 12 months to the end of April last, the profits increased from €1.21m to €1.29m, generating its income from commissions earned during the year.
Despite the huge income, directors of the firm Paul and Michael O’Connell, paid themselves a modest income from the company.
The remuneration for directors last year totalled a mere €21,000, following a payout of €21,000 in 2014.
