Nathan Carter couldn’t handle Ed Sheeran’s ‘level of stardom’

Nathan Carter has admitted that he doesn’t think he could handle Ed Sheeran’s “level of stardom” – but he wouldn’t say no to it either.

The country crooner, who has plenty of adoring female fans, has just released his new single Livin’ The Dream – and although the saying is true, he can’t imagine life as a worldwide superstar.

Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment, Nathan said, “I don’t know how anyone copes with that level of stardom. I mean, it’s one thing being big in a territory but being able to go somewhere else and not be known.

“But the likes of Ed Sheeran is known all over the world, I don’t think he can go anywhere without being noticed so his life must be pretty crazy.

“I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t like it but it must be a very tough task to do that all the life and no matter where you go to be noticed and expected to be friendly, which Ed Sheeran is, I would imagine, all the time so it’s a big task,” he added.

Meanwhile, the singer also opened up about his love life, admitting that he’s still very much single – and too busy for romance.

“No, there is still nothing going on! I’m gonna be 27 in May so time is ticking, I need to think about settling down pretty soon but no, it’s not something I really think about. Not at the minute. As the single says, I’m livin’ the dream at the minute.

“I think probably in about three or four years time, maybe I’ll consider then is the time to settle down. I’ve got a few more goals I want to achieve yet career-wise and then I think I’ll be happy enough to maybe consider having a proper relationship and taking it that next step, you know.”
