Louis Walsh has revealed he was secretly involved in the success of the “world’s biggest band.”
The music manager has dropped many bombshells during his time in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Last night was no different as the 71-year-old opened up about his links to the popular Irish band U2.
Louis revealed how he overhead U2 planning to leave their manager Paul McGuinness at the start of their career.
However, after Louis’ told them it would be a mistake to leave their manager, the band decided to stay with him and Paul went on to make them one of the most successful bands in the world.
In a conversation with his fellow housemate Colson Smith, Louis confessed: “It happened about 35 years ago, true story, in (Bono’s) book.”
“I was in a place called Captain Americas, it’s a really good burger restaurant, in Grafton Street in Dublin. I loved going in there, I went in every week,” he continued.
“They were chatting away about changing their manager, out loud and of course I was listening. And I knew Paul McGuinness, he’s probably one of the best managers in the world.”
“Eventually I went over and I said guys, I heard your conversation, I know Paul McGuinness he’s probably the best manager in the world.”
“(I said) because he believes in you guys and that’s the most important thing a manager can do, he believes in the brand new act … and they listened.”
Louis has become the bookies’ favourite to win the 2024 Celebrity Big Brother series.
It appears the public appreciates the exciting stories and gossip he is bringing to the house.

In the first week, Louis and Sharon set the tone for the series and that was that they are not holding back.
The former X-factor judges lifted the lid on their famous feud with Simon Cowell and explained how it came about.
Louis admitted that he hasn’t spoken to Simon since he was on X-Factor and said: “I haven’t talked to him at all, nothing. Zero.”
