Lisa Cannon has revealed that she could have been a housemate on this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.
The TV presenter was in the running to star in the hit Channel 5 series earlier this year – but unfortunately she didn’t make the cut in the end.
Lisa told Independent.ie, “I was considered for Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, believe it or not. But no. I don’t know what happened.”
Although she wasn’t a chosen housemate, Lisa has insisted that she didn’t mind as she had already confirmed a second series of her show Box Office on Virgin Media Two.
“I knew at that point anyway that I had Box Office coming back, which is my own show,” Lisa told the Herald.
Despite not taking part in this year’s CBB, Lisa has been quite busy in both the UK and US.
She recently won the IARA award for Best Female TV Presenter in London, which is a huge accomplishment as she was up against some major TV presenters – including Ferne Cotton and Scarlett Moffatt.
When asked whether she would ever consider moving abroad, Lisa said, “It depends: if something happens and they were pounding my door down, then who knows?
“I’m working with RTE as well. I work on the Today Show as well, so I’m down in Cork once a week – I’m between both networks now, so it’s great.”
