The Late Late Show will be seriously star-studded this weekend

What an amazing line-up!

Oscar hopeful Saoirse Ronan will join Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show on Friday night, and the full line-up for this year’s Dancing with the Stars will be revealed.

With two Oscar nominations already under her belt, Saoirse looks like she will be hitting the awards circuit again following widespread acclaim for her turn in the critically adored hit Lady Bird, released in Irish cinemas in February next year.

The Carlow native will join Ryan live in studio on Friday night to chat about cementing her place as one of the most celebrated young actresses working in Hollywood today, her chances at winning the Best Actress Oscar, and how coming home keeps her feet on the ground.

Saoirse will also be chatting about hosting Saturday Night Live and the reaction to THAT viral clip.

As excitement builds for this year’s series of Dancing with the Stars Ireland, Ryan will be chatting with three of the yet-to-be-revealed celebs on Friday night, finding out how nervous they are about tripping the light fantastic across the ballroom dance floor.

Ryan will also exclusively reveal the remaining celebs joining already announced Deirdre O’Kane, Bernard O’Shea and Maia Dunphy on the DWTS line up.

As they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their hit album Talk on Corners and the release of Jupiter Calling, their seventh studio album, The Corrs will perform live in studio on Friday night, and will join Ryan for a chat on the couch.

Also on the show will be Dublin mum Emma Murphy, who took a stand against domestic violence in a video that went viral after she was assaulted by her ex-partner, a former TV fitness instructor.

On the Late Late on Friday night she will speak about her ordeal; what gave her the courage to go the police and go public about the attack; what it feels like now that her attacker has been found guilty and what her experience has taught her about the way domestic violence is treated in Ireland’s legal system.

Children’s charity LauraLynn nominated a very special young boy to visit the Late Late Toy Show set last week.

Three-year-old Jake was born with a tumour the size of a fist in his head and doctors thought it unlikely he would see his first birthday. He is still fighting and is now on a medical trial cancer drug that has finally stopped his tumour growing.

On Friday night, Jake’s parents Andrea and Padraic Smith will talk about how his illness has impacted on the family’s life and how LauraLynn has helped them to cope.

Plus, comedian Pat Shortt will join Ryan in character, and there will also be music from The Coronas.

The Late Late Show, RTÉ One, Friday, December 8th at 9.35pm
