Karen Koster has revealed that she will be returning to TV3 on a part-time basis after her maternity leave – to spend more time with her son Finn.
The mum-of-one has been on leave since last November and will be back in the Ballymount studios in a reduced capacity from now on.
The presenter wants to find a more equal balance between motherhood and her Xpose job when she returns to work on September 21.

“I’m going back to work part-time so I’ll only be doing three days a week,” she told Anton Savage on Today FM.
“I’ve been doing little things here and there, filming things that will not go out until November, so it has been great keeping the finger in the pie in that sense and it doesn’t feel as daunting then, going back after 10 months.”
“I’ve been given part time, so thank you to TV3 for facilitating that for me.”

Karen’s announcement comes after fellow Xpose star Aisling O’Loughlin revealed that she is taking unpaid leave from the show to spend more time with her family.
“The whole motherhood and working thing. People are always like, ‘Can you balance it?’ Well the answer is, ‘No, I cannot balance it.’ I don’t balance it well at all,” Aisling previously said.
