Jim Carrey’s girlfriend Cathriona White’s death officially ruled as suicide

Cathriona White’s death has officially been confirmed as suicide.

The Tipperary native, who was dating Hollywood star Jim Carrey on and off for three years, was found dead at her home on September 28, 2015 – and now the official autopsy report has confirmed that her death was caused by “multiple drugs effect”, including a mix of sleeping tablets, painkillers and beta blockers.

According to the autopsy report obtained by TMZ, three of the prescriptions were prescribed under the name “Arthur King.”

The coroner also revealed that a text was found on Cathriona’s phone from Jim the night before she died, asking if she knew where some painkillers that were prescribed to him went.

“Given this, it appears likely that the bottles for ‘Arthur King’ found on [White’s] bedside table were the prescriptions he was referring to,” the coroner wrote.

The coroner also provided details about the letter and note Cathriona left for Jim.

“I’ve spent three days now in disbelief that you’re not here. I can go on brokenhearted and try to put the pieces back. I could, I just don’t have the will this time. I’m sorry you felt I wasn’t there for you. I tried to give you my best part,” she wrote.

“I don’t really know about burial or that sort of thing. You are my family so whatever you choose will be fine. Please forgive me. I’m just not for this world.”

The letter included instructions for her burial service, while she also requested for her belongings be sold and any money to be given to family.

At the time of her tragic death, Jim said he was “shocked and deeply saddened.”

“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled,” he said.

Jim attended Cathriona’s funeral in her native Ireland at Our Lady of Fatima Church in the village of Cappawhite back in October, where he served as a pallbearer.
