RTE’s Jennifer Maguire and husband Lau Zamparelli have decided not to find out the sex of their baby before giving birth.
And the TV presenter revealed her inability to keep a secret was the reason for deciding to keep the birth a surprise.
“We were very close to finding out but we changed our minds. I can’t keep a secret, so I wouldn’t be able to not tell people,” she said.
“And then when the baby was born, there wouldn’t be a surprise. I’m really excited – I’ve wanted kids for years. We’re just delighted.”

The 2FM presenter also told how she has been suffering through months of having morning, noon and night sickness during her pregnancy.
She added: “It was misery, it was like having a really bad hangover but with no end date. At least with a hangover you can at your way through it. Three months of it – it was horrific.”
With her focus now on her growing baby bump, Jennifer admits her wedding day has become a blur.

“It seems so long ago. The baby has taken over 70% of my brain; it’s the first thing I think of in the morning and the last thing at night,” she told the RTE Guide.
“But it was the best day, I was so relaxed, I didn’t care about a thing.Myself and Lau had so much fun and it was so nice to have everyone together. And you definitely pick up tips on how to do it the next time.”
