Irish bloggers Retro Flame and Lousie Cooney have taken to social media to deny reports that they’re set to star in a new reality show called Making It In Manhattan.
Yesterday, The Herald reported that RTÉ were set to make the “aspirational series” based in New York City – and the show had cast two of Ireland’s leading bloggers, Louise Cooney and Erika Fox.
However, NYC-based blogger Erica Fox, aka Retro Flame, took to her Snapchat last night to clarify the reports about the show.
“I need to just talk about something, there’s some articles in the Irish press today about a show that me and some of the girls and Kaelin are going to be in.”
“They said its definitely happening, but its NOT confirmed,” said the Kerry native. “I had one meeting with them about 6 months ago about the whole thing and they ran the idea by me, but I haven’t signed up for it.”
Erika assured her followers that “nothing is confirmed.”
“It’s all over the websites today, nothing bad – I mean it means no difference to me, but just in case you are all thinking I hadn’t told you.
“Don’t believe everything you read online,” continued Erika.
Meanwhile, blogger Louise Cooney also took to her Snapchat to discuss the reports.
“I just wanted to come on and mention about an article that was posted online today because I got a few snaps about it.”
The Limerick native assured followers that she is, “NOT moving to New York any time soon.”
The social media star, who boasts over 55 thousand Instagram followers, had announced an “exciting trip” coming up in the next few months – which fuelled speculation among followers that Louise was making the move to the Big Apple.
“It was weird timing for the article because I was saying I was so excited about something in July, but that’s not what the big news was,” Louise assured her followers.
“I’m open to it in the future, but it’s just not happening at the moment.”
