Irish school choir are accused of MIMING on Britain’s Got Talent

St. Patrick’s Junior Choir from Drumgreenagh Co.Down were hit by accusations of miming on last night’s first semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent.

The school choir were the first act to take to the stage, but their performance was quickly put to a halt by hosts Ant and Dec when they ran onto the stage.

Dec told the audience, “Gonna just stop it there – we’ve just had a few technical issues”, he added the problem was “a bit of a sound issue – they couldn’t hear the track”.

Viewers were quick to assume that children were miming to Katy Perry’s song Roar.

A spokesperson for Britain’s Got Talent spoke to Huffington Post and said that the children were not miming, but that the wrong track was initially played.

“A technical glitch meant that the wrong song was played at the start of St Patrick’s Junior Choir performance as well as some vocals recorded during a rehearsal from them,” the spokesperson said.

“The choir did not mime and we are very proud of their performance”.

The children did not let themselves become flustered by the temporary glitch however as they went on to give a world class performance.
