Irish actor Barry Keoghan is reportedly in talks to join Marvel’s The Eternals.

According to Collider, the Love/Hate star and Crazy Rich Asians actress Gemma Chan are in negotiations to join the already star-studded cast.

So far, the confirmed cast includes Angelina Jolie (Thena), Richard Madden (Ikaris), Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo), Salma Hayek (Ajak) and Brian Tyree Henry (Phastos).

The brand new superhero movie, which will be released by Disney in November 2020, is based on Jack Kirby’s 1976 comic book series.

The series is set millions of years in the past, when cosmic beings known as Celestials genetically experimented on humans to create super-powered individuals known as the Eternals, along with the villainous Deviants.

Since starring in RTÉ crime drama Love/Hate, Barry has made a name for himself in Hollywood.

Following his breakout role in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, the young actor won praise for his incredible performance in Yorgos Lanthimos’ thriller The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

After that, the Dublin native went on to star in library heist movie American Animals, which went down a hit at film festivals in the US, and he recently appeared in HBO’s hit Chernobyl series.

As for this year, Barry recently wrapped filming upcoming fantasy flick Green Knight, and he’s been cast as the lead in FX’s upcoming adaptation of Y: The Last Man.
