Holly Carpenter has revealed that she would find it difficult to not ‘pull a Kanye’ when reacting to Twitter trolls.
The former Miss Ireland opened up about receiving nasty messages on social media following Brian McFadden’s foul-mouthed Twitter war with trolls that mocked his career earlier this week.
“Like Brian, I may have wanted to drop the ‘C bomb’ when referring to a few people who tweeted me. However, that was over a glass of wine with the girls in my home, not on Twitter,” she admitted.

“I doubt the people who targeted the singer online would have the balls to walk up to him in broad daylight and slag him over his career to his face.
“As difficult as it can be, I think the best and only way to deal with trolls is to ignore them. All they want is a reaction,” she wrote in her Herald column.
Speaking about how she personally deals with mean-spirited people on social media, Holly explained that she was recently subject to a few nasty tweets following the controversy that surrounded one of her column entries.

“I’ve recently been at the receiving end of a few nasty tweets. As much as I’d like to say ‘I have a thick skin, it didn’t bother me at all’, I’m only human. A couple of them kind of got to me,” she said.
“When I found myself getting p***ed off with a few people slagging me online, I temporarily deleted my Twitter app, to the relief of my family and friends. It’s easier to keep a cool head during the day and brush it off.
“But a few G&Ts down the line, it would be a different story and I would have been one nasty tweet away from aggressively typing foul-mouthed replies and pulling a Kanye on it,” she added.
