Green Day have been spotted in Dublin ahead of their gig tonight, but they don’t seem happy.
Upon their visit to the capital, lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong began to reminisce on the bands first ever Irish gig.
Billie Joe took to Instagram to ask Irish fans what the venues name was, but to his dismay, he learned that the venue in question is now a Starbucks.
“Ugh. it’s now a starbucks.. sorrow. I have a great memory of playing there. no one was allowed to dance in fear of the roof caving in. everyone was so friendly,” wrote the Time of Your Life singer.
The band played their first ever Irish gig in 1991 in the White Horse Inn.
Billie Joe also commented on the ‘friendliness’ of the Irish people and suggested reliving their gig in the building which is now a Starbucks.
“Maybe we should bum rush the starbucks and play a gig there?!”
