TV host Graham Norton could be the next big US presenter, after top Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has decided to back him.
The Cork chat-show host recently had the movie producer on his talk show, and Harvey thought Graham had the talent to go far in America.
“As a company we’re bringing Graham Norton to the United States. Graham is just so perceptive in making the best of everything,” Harvey said.
The man behind huge Hollywood hits such as Silver Lining Playbook, Gangs of New York, Pulp Fiction and Lord of The Rings wants Graham to make a splash in the US.

“He gets the best artists from around the world. He’s been on BBC America before but I think we’re probably going to do something different this time.
“I just think he gets the best artists. The show’s become universal. I mean, I did his show two weeks ago and, you just follow the rules,” he told BBC radio.
“His team is so smart about finding old stories you told, and then Graham’s so perceptive in making the best of it, and also making you look semi decent.”
Harvey is also a fan of Irish actress Sarah Greene, who was up for a Tony award last year.

The producer recently met up with the Cork star and got her roles in two huge movies, including Chef alongside Jamie Dornan and Bradley Cooper.
And now Graham could be set for stardom under the wing of the Hollywood king.
“It has been said some guests have such a great time doing Graham Norton they have to be carried out and some have such a good time before they have to be carried in. That’s the show I want to be on.”
