Singer-songwriter Glen Hansard is set to be honoured at the annual Oscar Wilde party.
The star-studded event, which takes place in JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot office in Santa Monica, will this year give the special honour to the Once singer.
Taking place on February 23rd, during the week of The Oscars, Glen will be a special guest at the coveted event.
Trina Vargo, President of the US-Ireland Alliance said: “We are thrilled to be honoring Glen in February. Our guests well remember the incredible, impromptu performance Glen and Marketa gave at our 2008 event, days before they won the Academy Award.
“We also honored James L. Brooks that year, which led him to make a special episode of the The Simpsons about an Irish pub. Jim asked Glen to voice a role in that episode.”
Last year James Corden, Daisy Ridley and Sarah Greene recieved special honours, and guests were treated to an amazing duet between Snow Patrol and James.
